Happy Bidding!

The Seventh Day Adventist School was having an bake sale auction to raise money for there Pathfinders group. This group focuses on helping others, cleaning up the planet, and many many more wonderful things. We jumped on the opportunity to make a special cake that would represent the Pathfinders for there auction. Three layers of yummy, chocolate, white, and funfetti covered in bright colors to show the Pathfinders outgoing personality. I hope all those going to this event are feeling generous, Lets keep the Pathfinders going strong Bid...Bid...Bid it's worth it!

Congrats to Sheila!

Say Cheese!

This cake is officially one of our favorites! Janelle Beck had a birthday last week and her co-workers had us come up with a way to make her cake look like a camera. I must say this one came together amazingly! We used chocolate fudge cake with butter cream filling and we actually used white fondant which we then air brushed black to give it a nice shiney look. What a fun cake, Happy birthday Janelle! And thank you to her co-workers at Red Canoe for giving us their business!

The Birthday Bash!

So this week was really fun! We had a family members 30th birthday cake! Jenn has a fun, bubbly personality so we added some spunk to this cake. We used some specialty flavors as well. The bottom tier was Malibu rum cake with coconut cream cheese filling, the middle was red velvet with cream cheese filling and the top was black forest cake. It was so yummy! We added a sheet cake as well for those who prefer vanilla cake, half with lemone filling and half with raspberry filling. So as you can see we added so many fun things! The black boa added a nice touch to the bottom of the cake while the fun feathers really brought the cake together. All in all, this cake rocked! Happy 30th to Jenn! It's been a great week with some fantastic results... who knows whats next!

I Do!

So we had the opportunity to make a special cake this week, and of course we were happy to take on the challenge. A surprise Engagement cake, very top secret. So the mother of the soon to be bride called us and placed an order for a confetti cake with butter cream filling for the surprise engagement. She knew she wanted to incorporate orange in the color scheme of things that's her daughters favorite color and we needed it to have some king of ring theme. We talked about a few different ways to pull it off and ultimately came up with the idea of a ring box sporting a fancy diamond ring. So as we are baking away and decorating this amazing cake a surprise party is in the works. Kate Hembree, the lucky bride to be, was told there was a birthday bash going on for her sister. So, when she showed up surprise, surprise the party was for her! Timmy, the groom to be, sang to Kate and then on bended knee proposed and she of course said YES! After all the congratulations from family and friends they ate our amazing engagement cake, what a great way to end the perfect day. Congratulations to Timmy and Kate!
